Welcome to EastAssist. By accessing or using our mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using EastAssist, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Service Description
EastAssist provides travel advisory services for foreign tourists visiting China, including:
- Free travel content (articles, itineraries, guides)
- Subscription-based customer service chat support
- Concierge services (phone translation, booking assistance)
- Personalized travel inquiries and recommendations
3. Subscription Plans
3.1 Auto-Renewable Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew
- Payment will be charged to your Apple/Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's App Store Account Settings
3.2 Cancellation and Refund Policy
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store Account Settings
- Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds for partial billing periods
4. Service Limitations and Disclaimers
4.1 Customer Service Response Time
We aim to respond to all chat messages within 24 hours during your active subscription period. Response times may vary based on demand and time zones.
4.2 Service Disclaimers
Phone Translation Services: We provide phone interpretation assistance to facilitate communication. However, we do NOT guarantee the accuracy of translations and are NOT liable for any miscommunication, misunderstanding, or consequences arising from translation errors.
Booking Assistance: We assist with booking hotels, attractions, and train tickets on your behalf. However, we do NOT guarantee successful bookings and are NOT liable for booking failures, cancellations, price changes, or service quality issues with third-party providers.
4.3 Information Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date travel information, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all content. Travel information, regulations, and service availability may change without notice.
5. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when registering and using our services
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Use the service in a lawful and respectful manner
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations while traveling in China
- Not use the service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent activities
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Harass, abuse, or threaten our customer service agents
- Share false or misleading information
- Attempt to access unauthorized areas of our systems
- Use the service to distribute spam or malicious content
- Resell or transfer your subscription to others
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EASTASSIST AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.
